The Year 2007 in Review
The following is a message from AA Chairman Dario Nogueira.
Dear Alumni,
The Alumni Association would like to take this opportunity to thank
all of you for making the association's first year a true success.
2007 Factoids:
- Established as a non profit
- Deployed official website
- Awarded its first scholarship at graduation.
- Held its first annual softball and flag football fundraisers
- Introduced official East Side gear and sold over 100 sweatshirts, hoodies and t-shirts combined
- Generated $6,000+ in donations, merchandise sales and membership dues combined
- Registered 500+ alumni spanning 56 classes
- Other news: Ruben Pedro, class of 1998, who is currently serving in Iraq got an early Christmas present when his wife prematurely delivered a healthy baby boy on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Although the baby is premature, he was breathing on his own within hours and moved to the regular nursery. He is expected to come home by Christmas as soon as he learns how to eat. This message was brought to you by Ruben's brother and teacher at East Side, Mario Pedro, class of 1998.

- Last, but not least, keep the contributions coming. Without your generation donations, it's difficult to support alumni the way we have this year, while at the same time giving back to the graduating class. Keep in mind that our goal is to give away 3 computers to deserving seniors this year at graduation. Help us make that happen!
